3 years have elapsed and the existence of the Monitors board has continued to lighten the burden of teachers, prefects and the disciplinary board in maintaining the discipline.
The new board was formed early this year and the monitors were officially installed by the principal on the 12th. of February 1979. The Monitors Board is a recognised body in the school today and has found a permanent place.
Class reports are handed in by the monitors to the advisors every week in order to keep the advisors informed.
The lower form monitors organize tuckshop duties to help the prefects as well as to see that the tuckshop is clean and tidy at all times. The Upper 6 monitors on the other hand organized the Orientation Week. Handbooks were printed by us and they served as a guide for the ‘Freshies’ to know the school.
The Monitors’ Board can also serve the school in many other ways as raising funds for the school and organizing voluntary activities. Nevertheless, we are always willing and prepared to render our services to the school.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude and thanks to our advisors and the principal for their invaluable guidance and support to the board.
